How DareBattle handles the small amount of information a free games site without server accounts needs.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Summary

DareBattle ("we", "us", "our") is a free-to-play entertainment website built to need as little information about you as possible:

  • To join, you give your name, a screen name, email address, date of birth, country and a password, or you use Continue with Google. These account details are stored securely on our server so you can log in from any device.
  • Your Battle Token balance, rewards and progress are kept in your browser, not on our server.
  • We never ask for payment cards, bank details or other financial information.
  • We don't use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

Information we use

Your account

When you join we store your first and last name, screen name, email address, date of birth, country, your choice about receiving email updates, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself), the date you joined and last logged in, and a count of failed log-in attempts, which locks the account for 15 minutes after five wrong tries. If you use Continue with Google, Google sends us your name, email address and Google account ID instead of a password. Each account is kept as a protected file on our server; we don't use a database. We use these details to log you in, greet you by your screen name, confirm that you are 18 or over and reply to requests about your account.

Gameplay and rewards

To run the site's features your browser keeps your Battle Token balance, which games you've launched, time played, XP, level, badges, daily streak, claimed milestones and a short history of recent tokens activity. This stays on your device and is not sent to our server.

Preferences

We remember choices such as your break-reminder setting and whether you've seen the cookie notice, in your browser.

Contact form

If you contact us, you share your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply — see "Messages" below.

How the site works with your information

Everything you submit through a form on DareBattle — joining, logging in, Continue with Google and the contact form — is sent to and processed by our own server, not handled inside your browser. The server checks your details, creates or opens your account, verifies a Google sign-in with Google, sends your contact messages to us, and then returns you to the page.

On our server we keep only your account details listed above, as a protected file that can't be opened from the web, for as long as you have an account. Nothing about your play is stored there.

In your browser the site keeps the things that make play work on that device: a copy of your name, screen name and email so it can greet you, your Battle Token balance, rewards and progress, your break-reminder preference, whether you've seen the cookie notice, and the start time of the current visit. This stays on your device until you clear the site's data, and is never sent to our server.

Log-in session and cookies

When you log in, our server sets one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you logged in until you log out or close your browser, and briefly uses a second one to hand your account details to your browser after a successful log-in; that one is removed within two minutes. The site sets no other cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Our embedded games

Our 39 games are hosted on darebattle.com and load inside each game page. They can read your screen name and Battle Token balance so you can play with your wallet. No other information is shared with them.

Cookies and third parties

Apart from the log-in cookies above, the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may set strictly necessary technical cookies (for security or load balancing). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested. If you choose Continue with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy and gives us a signed token, which our server checks with Google before creating or opening your account.

Messages

When you use the contact form, your name, email address, topic and message are emailed from our server to [email protected], and a copy is kept in a protected log on our server so we can answer you and check that the message arrived. We use your message only to reply, and delete it from our mailbox and log once it's no longer needed to deal with your request.

Your control and your rights

  • Log out from the player menu to end your session on this browser.
  • You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the account details we hold. Email [email protected] from the address you joined with and we'll do it within a few days; deleting your account removes its file from our server.
  • Your Battle Token balance and progress live only in your browser. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes them permanently; your account itself stays on our server until you ask us to delete it. We can't see, restore or move a wallet, because it never reaches our server.
  • In a private or incognito window, the browser copy of your profile and wallet is deleted when the window closes.

We protect your account with HTTPS, password hashing and server files that can't be opened from the web. If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us straight away.

Children

DareBattle is intended for people aged 18 and over; the sign-up form asks for your date of birth and refuses anyone younger. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and we'll delete any account we find belongs to one.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above shows the current version. Questions? Email [email protected] or use our contact page.
